Building on our previous session, "Scaling to Success," which explored the evolution of the partnership between TN SAILS, EdReady and Ready for Industry into a powerful engine for workforce readiness, this follow-up webinar dives deeper into the practical application of these tools. We will examine how EdReady and Ready for Industry (RFI) can work in tandem to bridge the critical gap between foundational academic proficiency and the specialized knowledge required to succeed in today’s high-demand sectors.

As the U.S. Department of Education shifts its priorities toward career and workforce readiness, including support for skilled trades and innovative employment models, it is more vital than ever to understand how to leverage personalized learning paths. This webinar will provide a comprehensive look at the 15-hour industry-aligned courses in Healthcare, Manufacturing, Logistics, Construction, and IT, and how they can pair with EdReady’s adaptive diagnostic tools to ensure students are not just college-ready, but truly industry-prepared.

  • Advanced Personalization with EdReady: Discover how to utilize EdReady to fill basic math and English knowledge gaps to create individualized study paths for students.
  • A Deep Dive into the RFI Curriculum: Explore the modular structure of RFI's five high-demand industry courses, focusing on how they teach essential industry terminology, workplace expectations, and current trends to prepare students for real-world job requirements. We’ll also explore how Tennessee and Alabama have approved RFI for approved credentials as Career Readiness Indicator (AL) and meeting Tier 1 Graduation Requirement (TN), opening new pathways for students to gain readiness credentials with Ready for Industry.

Simone Smith is the Director of Ready for Industry, powered by eDynamic Learning, with over 15 years of experience in education, including adult learning. She began her career in the classroom, teaching multiple subjects and creating second-chance opportunities for students to succeed. Simone later served as an Alternative Education District Instructional Support Specialist, where she partnered with educators to implement the Conditions for Learning framework and build supportive, student-centered environments.
Today, Simone is dedicated to advancing workforce development by bridging education and industry. She is passionate about helping learners gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed for long-term success.

Her passion for education led her to NROC, where she is currently a Regional Partnership Manager covering the southern states. She enjoys reading, traveling, and scuba diving.
