Brenda Kurtz has worked in education for over 15 years, beginning her career as a dual enrollment mathematics instructor, where she received awards recognizing her impact on students. Her experience teaching in both secondary and post-secondary settings, along with three years as a high school Dean of Students, shaped her passion for bridging the gap between high school and college.
As Director of Cochise College’s Early College Programs, Brenda oversees initiatives that support more than 700 high school students each year in earning college credit. She serves as a liaison between the college and partner schools to expand dual enrollment opportunities, provides professional development for dual enrollment faculty, and develops non-credit career exploration classes for local youth. Her work centers on helping students confidently take their next steps toward higher education and future careers.
