Community college faculty share their unique adaptations of NROC English resources, designed to provide students the reading and writing skills required for success in gateway college courses.

South Plains College utilizes EdReady English to deliver a non-credit, student-paced integrated reading and writing course. Rowan-Cabarrus Community College has adapted the NROC Developmental English curriculum to support students’ mastery of the skills essential for College Composition, offered in online and hybrid classroom environments.

We will explore how these redesigned courses relate to broader college reform efforts, explore customized course scopes, and reflect on student outcomes.
